ABOUT CHRISSA PAGITSAS

Chrissa Pagitsas is an advisor, board member, keynote speaker, and author who helps organizations navigate uncertainty, foster innovation, and build strategies for lasting value creation.

 

As CEO of Pagitsas Advisors, she supports senior executives and boards in aligning strategies with corporate priorities to ensure sustainability and transformation efforts drive measurable results.

As the first Vice President of ESG at Fannie Mae, Chrissa launched the enterprise’s ESG Strategy and built the Green Financing Business, issuing over $51 billion in Green Bonds and positioning Fannie Mae as the largest issuer of Green Bonds globally.

​

She is the author of Chief Sustainability Officers at Work (Apress, 2022), featuring leadership strategies from executives at Fortune 500 companies. Recognized as a “Green Bond Champion” by the Climate Bonds Initiative and a US Green Building Council Leadership Award recipient, Chrissa has driven market-transforming innovations, including the first Green Commercial MBS in the U.S.

Chrissa holds an MBA from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia and a BA from Johns Hopkins University. She currently serves on two boards.
